How to fix stuttering for intel uhd 620

Hey lowspecgamers,

I just wanted to share how I fixed my lagging issue in valorant.

I have a low spec laptop without discrete gpu, so it is very well expected to have low fps, when I started playing valorant, I got around 70 - 85 fps in game without much stutters, which was very playable. But at some point my game started lagging heavily, the fps dropped to 0 - 1 when anyone in the game use their utilities for the first time, as the same util is used for the 3rd or 4th time, it appers that utils usage is not affecting fps anymore. I tried numerous solutions and it all didn't worked.

I almost gaveup trying to fix that blaming the hardware. But then I used MSI Afterburner to see all statistics about CPU, GPU and temps, It appears that the gpu is dropping its power usage from 15W to like 3W when these stutters came, so I thought that something was bottlenecking the GPU from working at its full power, temps were really good too. So the first fix I tried was increasing the priority of valorant in task manager, the tried updating gpu drivers, and other random fixes too.

The gpu driver update actully made the problem worse, which clearly shows that the issue was with gpu driver, so I tried to install a few versions of GPU drivers which are newer tha my current driver version, but it doesn't fixed the issue. As a last try I installed an older version, which is older than my current driver and I magically fixed all the stuttering issues. I can now play valorant at a framerate more than 60fps without much framedrops or stutters, all that I had to do was finding an older version of gpu driver from Intel's website. Incase anyone else is facing the same issue, give it a try, you can always rollback to previous version if it didn't work.
