Hello. I don't know if this is the right place to ask this, but I wanted to ask how a person with just about zero shooter-game experience (I do shoot irl) would get into Valorant. My girlfriend and her friends play it, and I've been trying to get to spend more time with them as a group so I can become closer to them.
I am the complete opposite of the target audience, though. I have about 300 hours in Animal Crossing, and nearly 200 in Stardew Valley -- but I'm willing to put in the time. She really likes the game, and I'd like to give it a fair shot (no pun intended), maybe even put in some extra hours so I'm not a total slog on the team when we play with her friends.
Any tips to start? Maybe things not to do? Thanks :)

Have you ever had a teammate preferring to make a round trip instead?
