So I used to play apex and managed to solo to d3, getting some nutty squad wipes even in pred/master lobbies so when some of my friends got me to pick up valorant I thought I'd at least be OK, but after 2 weeks of playing I've found myself hardstuck iron utterly struggling to do anything.
I play on 60 ping which wasn't too bad on apex cause the base latency is like 250ms on that game and its entirely about getting the better peek and managing your positioning to accommodate for the delays, so after constantly getting one tapped before I can even see my opponent in valorant I was like ok peekers advantage, whatever, I guess I have to be the one peeking first.... only to have the same thing happen where I die before I can even see my opponents, or I'll shoot them in the face and then die with the game telling me I did 0 damage. What the fuck is this? Not to mention all the times I'll peek for a split second and duck back under cover only for the game to warp me all the way out of cover and show me dying.
I've heard people mention interpolation. I don't entirely understand it but does it basically just mean riot gets to decide where you are and whether you get to play the game or not? It's so frustrating blast packing into the air with raze only for the game to instantly teleport me onto the ground from midair like wtf. I have no idea how to play this game.
