i have some weird experience with the matchmaking recently, I came back after over a year of break so maybe i missed something.

A little background: I used to play valorant in 2021 and i used to be hardstuck gold. I think i managed to get to plat 1 at the end of the act but that was it. Then i took a break and i came back at the beginning of 2023. I played 5 placements alone(!!!) and i sucked in all of them. I managed to win 2/5 but in very game i was bottom of the leaderboard with stats like 5/16 etc.

After i finished my placements (i played solo ofc) the game put me in Platinum 3 straight away, which was kind of weird because my all time high was plat 1. What was even weirder was the fact that i was playing with high diamonds and ascendants in my games all the time despite being in platinum, and even though i was losing most of my games because i was straight up a bot and my team was 4v5, i would lose -10 rr for lost game and get +30 for a win. It honestly feels like i would be playing on a smurf account or the one with very high MMR, but this account has never been used by anyone else and I have never even been close to playing on a high level.

It is frustrating, because my teammates lose a game and insult me for being a bot (rightfully so if u ask me) and i get angry because i feel like i dont belong there and i cant derank because of the crazy RR gains and small loses.

Anyone has any ideas what is going on with this matchmaking system?
