I wanted to learn how to 3d model and figured I'd learn how to do it by modeling the only melee skin worth owning, the BlastX knife. I know it's been modeled before but I couldn't find a file that was as accurate as I wanted, and most of the models you find you have to pay for. I think this is one of the more accurate STLs you can find for this particular skin. I also wanted it in a few different pieces so it's easier to print and paint.
I printed it on an SLA printer and poorly painted it with spray paint. It was tough finding colors that were close enough to what was in game.
