I understand not letting people choose their maps in competitive so that you can get everyone playing all the maps and to prevent people from only mastering a few maps.
However, for unrated, there may be times where I want to try some map specific things out in an actual game and Unrated seems like it would be the best place for that. For example, if I spent a lot of time practicing some Sova lineups on Haven, it would be nice to select Haven when queueing into an Unrated game to test that out.
Additionally, I think it would provide good data for Riot, letting them see which maps people tend to play so it would help them understand which maps need to be worked on the most.
If new maps come out, this would also be good so people can test them out whenever they want instead of hoping it comes up randomly. Would also prevent people dodging when not getting the map they want.
