The Passion of the Iron
By: Iron Enjoyer
The Rise of the Iron
Though I had a passion for the game, my dream of playing any high rank in high school died young. In the midst of a pretty average valorant career with my 60 fps laptop, I realized that my career as a valorant player was not going to last much more than a week. Then the rank-up game right before bronze, before my senior year of high school, I mistakenly played an unrated game with my Iron friends. They allowed me to get multiple aces and even taught me “supposedly stupid lineups nobody would use”. They never knew that the lineups would be used by me more than “just a couple times.” After a day or two, I was hooked. The opportunity to ace, to help myself extend my potential and encourage my dreams while being around the game I love made sense. I finally found out… I was meant to be in Iron.
The Art/Passion of the Iron
Though many people asked me, why not ace in a higher rank? Wouldn’t that be more hype? Why not discover lineups in custom games? They never understood the iron rank in the first place. They did not know about the Art of the Iron. They could never comprehend nor understand the Passion of the Iron. They would just be tryharding, and trying to get into the highest rank possible… but I say no. They would never master the art of the run and gun. They would never use the stinger. They would not know the flow and the movement of an iron player. As a wise man would say, “If you never know what you are doing, your enemies will never either.” They would never understand why we flank the whole map to get to a site. As an iron player, I will say though, if you cannot understand, then you will not understand.
The Relaxation/Fun of the Iron
Many were complaining about “The Hard Reset” and how it made them drop 3 ranks. As iron players, we had no such worry and kicked back and relaxed. Contrary to what people may think, you get to relax and just have a good experience. When you compare the stats, people are way likely to throw games and be an absolute jerk overall in medium ranks such as bronze to gold. We hype each other up when our teammate gets killed. We make jokes about each other and laugh. We always say nice try even when our teammates whiff shots. Overall, it's just fun to be in iron, and if you were a true iron player. You would understand too.
