Currently, the only way the defuser knows the halfway point is reached is by physically looking at the progress bar passing the middle defusal line. I feel there should be more audio and visual cues since it can be hard to tell during intense clutch defusal moments.
Audio cue: When the defuse hits the mid-point, a quick sharp "beep" is heard that is audible only to the defuser and the team (not enemy team). This also allows an extra audio cue for teammates to play off each other during defusal retakes.
Visual Cue: When the defuse hits the mid-point, change the color of the defusal bar so it is very obvious the mid-point was reached.
Personally, I've seen many situations where my teammate is in a 1vX clutch defuse scenario where they intend to defuse to the midpoint, only to let go at the last moment, thinking they hit the mid-point when they didn't, and losing the round. This would also be a huge change for pro play when bomb defuses are really clutch.
Thoughts and opinions?
