I’m D1 and so many times I’ve dealt with players that answer me when I say, “Any mics?” and eventually go dead silent when the game starts except for the occasional comment post-rounds. You bought a headset with a mic right? So USE it. If you really want to help urself climb, help the team by giving information to everyone. It’s better to over-comm than not comm at all. That’s not to mean ghost-comm unless the player missed something (i.e. shut up in clutch situations). This can also help keep mental up as long as u stay positive. Focus on winning together not on ur own skill. Hype people up and console those who mess up and then you can have a better chance of coming back and winning. Lastly, that info is so helpful for someone who is trying to help the team by IGLing. IGLs need this info to help provide direction for the team so you aren’t blindly running into crappy situations. That is all.
