So, i was just browsing reddit when i saw this post made by u/ciphernada here about what people would propose as changes for Cypher since everyone seems to agree that he needs buffs, so, i got to thinking in some ways they could improve him and i came out with this post! Thing is, keep in mind, i don't play Cypher, i probably have like 5 or 6 matches with him in Unranked, but i have seen some videos of Peak play him, so, i guess this is what i could come up with while being actually really sleepy!
Changes:
- Spycam now goes invisible faster and now it takes 1 bullet of any weapon to destroy while in use, and 3 (Or 2 for better balance tbh) when invisibility is active. The player now may hold his Spycam keybind to recall it from any part of the map.
- Tripswires are now immune to any kind of AoE damage (Kayo's Zero/Point still affects them) so they can't be destroyed by accident or by guessing. Tripwires are now longer, have a shorter animation when placing them, and can now have an optional extension that can be added by clicking any of the end points or the middle of them while having the Tripwire ability active. The extension is as long as the normal Tripwire and can be placed like a regular one in both 2D and 3D and does not consume a second Tripwire charge when placing it. This way a single Tripwire may cover more a larger area and at the same time still being vulnerable to be destroyed from any of the end or middle points of it (Even if the middle point is mid air). Inspired by those scenes of old spy movies and cartoons where there would be a treassure room filled with lasers that the spy would have to manuver through, have fun Jett and Raze mains!
- Cyber Cage sound cue now is globally played to Cypher. Cyber Cage now lets Cypher and his allies see very vaguely through it (Textured glass levels of visibility, so almost nothing but enough to see silhouettes) and/or has an indicator (New icon that follows enemies movements) when an enemy touches or steps inside of it. Inspired by one-way glass, this adds more flavor and uniquness to this smoke, completely fair and balanced obviously.
- Neural Theft no longer requires an enemy corpse (Yes, i feel very daring today, Squidward). Due to the lack of effectivness and all of the complaints of the other Valorant Protocol agents, Cypher has taken to a more support oriented method this time that has him take out a new device that was created with the help of Fade (Channels the first seconds before the Ult takes effect, can be cancelled to fake out enemies since it would still play out the "Where is everyone hiding?") that reveals his foes in real time for 4 seconds.
So, would all of these changes be too broken for nowadays meta?... I mean, maybe i went too far with them tbh, but i had a lot of fun with this lol.
