So let me explain my thoughts on peeking on defense, and let me know why I am wrong - because I really do want to learn. I am currently silver 3.

If you are on defense, the enemy has to push into you. The attackers literally have to get into site whereas we are already there. Unless you have an op, there shouldn’t really be a reason to peak. By peaking, I feel like you are doing them a favor by giving them a free kill before they even push onto site. I’m sure my thought process is wrong for high elo, but I’m silver so my teammates can’t headshot people like the pros do.

I’ve thought about reasons why I might be dumb and one thing could be that by peeking off angles, you can catch the enemy off guard. But I don’t see how that is any better than straight up not peeking and just camping a spot and waiting for them.
