So my bf really wants me to play Valorant with him because he’s an avid FPS player, I on the other hand have 0 fps experience and honestly find it kind of stressful. We’ve played a dumbed down easy version of CSGO together so I know how to play csgo and I try my best to use the utility and some dummy combat tactics but I don’t know whether I’m capable of enjoying a game I’m bad at. I thought valorant was pretty cool and I would love to try it but I feel like it’s a big time commitment and I like I would be a massive failure whenever I watch him play in normal matches (he’s got like probably 3000 hours combined in fps games so I know it’s not a fair comparison anyways haha.)
If I started playing my myself at the lowest rank possible would there be a normal way for me to play and learn? Or would everyone be incredibly out of my league off the bat?
I only have experience in PVE my only fps was a Borderlands game and I have like 1000+ hours in Genshin (I know a bit on the sweaty side)
So yeah I’m just wondering if there is a point in trying.
EDIT: I have actually been already practicing different agents and stuff in the practice range and stuff so learning abilities is not as big of a problem since I already have to learn abilities and rotations and stuff from playing Genshin. Thanks to everyone being encouraging and warning me about toxic people etc. luckily I already have a full team of my bf’s friends to play with who are really nice people so I wouldn’t have to worry about that! I have my eye on a few agents so I will try my best to do a good job and attempt to have fun.
