As in title, i want to get into lore quite a bit and i already seen there is some kind of multiverse going on and i can't figure out how it exactly works.

I ask you for explaining who's the bad guy, who's the good guys and what is the exact reason for this fight? Are the good guys really bad guys in different world? I'm confused :(
