Riot wants to boast inclusion through character design but excludes most of Africa from being able to have reasonable latency (Northern Africa does fine on existing servers but Southern Africa usually has 150-200 ms ping MINIMUM). This is a monthly reminder that there is simply no excuse for this.

Keep in mind:

1. The infrastructure exists (e.g. AWS Cape Town Datacenter, Azure Cape Town & Johannesburg)
2. If it's about cost, literally launch a crowdfunding campaign for the cost of implementing servers here and leave it open until the goal is reached, that way Riot doesn't need to risk losing money.
3. Having no servers in Africa means that it's also not fair for EU/Middle East players to have people with 150-200 ms ping on their team joining from Africa
4. Riot has an EMEA division but not a single African server, what's the point of not just calling it EME at that point?
5. If the player base is not large enough for a fair rank distribution, at least add an unranked queue initially to let people switch over to Valorant from other games (I know MANY people personally who only don't play Valorant because of the ping).
6. Other games such as CS:GO, CoD & Battlefield have servers in Africa, so why not Valorant?
7. What's the point of trying to make the game appear to be inclusive with an African character when there isn't a single server in Africa, seems to just be for optics when in practice people from Africa can't even enjoy the game on a fair playing field with 10x higher delay than their opponents.

It would help a lot if the Valorant community could help bring awareness to this subject, as it would be a huge win for the African (Mainly Southern African) Valorant community if we could have at least one server on the entire continent, preferably in South Africa since Northern Africa is decently served. It's not an unreasonable ask.

Many players from Africa such as myself experience abuse simply due to having high ping and being from Africa, I get teased about not having food and water and that sort of thing. I love Valorant as a game but it boggles my mind that anyone tries to defend not having a single server in Africa. It's 2023 for goodness sake.
