I don't think there's even much of an argument needed, they should do to Phoenix wall what they did to Brim's stim beacon and Jett smokes. C should be quick cast, if you press and hold C you can bend the wall.

Phoenix is supposed to be a dynamic duelist and I can't think of a reason for it to be the way it is now.
