Riots anti-smurfing measures have not helped at all, gold and silver lobbies have become unplayable for casual players. It is time for Riot to realize that there is nothing in game to prevent smurfing as they can keep making new accounts and resetting their MMR, or they can simply buy accounts in gold or silver for incredibly cheap.

The only way to prevent smurfing is phone number verification on new accounts. Obviously this would prevent individuals from constantly making new accounts but would also drive up the prices of accounts as the creator would have to spend money to create additional new accounts
