I'll try to keep it short since I have a lot of things to say about smurfing.

Smurfing is wrong. Pretty much 99.5% of the time there's no excuse for anyone even streamers. Anyways, I signed up for Premier and noticed there's a verification requirement.

So you're telling me I verified my account... But that verification process is done in game after you've created the account.

Why not just make it a requirement to create an account with a phone verification since the feature already exists???!!!!!??? Why is this not being talked about more? Its so weird they introduce a verification JUST FOR A GAMEMODE BUT NOT THE GAME.

To me, this Riot admitting they don't give a fuck that the immortal "i miss her" Jett is ruining you're gold rank up games.

If riot wanted to significantly reduce smurfing and make it harder to do so they would have this verification step at account creation. There's genuinely no reason that's integrity based reasoning as to why the verification is not required. We all know "level X to hit comp" only delays making these accounts by a couple hours, its not really a deterrent. At the very least make verification a requirement for Ranked like how they use it for Premier.

also if you're one of those "my friends are lower rated than me so we cant play on my main" go play unrated/swift its literally what its there for.
