So, I've been playing Valorant for 8 months now, and I have always struggled with playing competitive. Unlike players who play only competitive straight, I feel like whenever I play competitive, I get much worse in terms of my game sense, aim, and mental. The feeling of it is like having to do public speaking.
I had many past experiences with other games such as League Of Legends where I demoted from platinum to low gold and I believe that gave me a sort of anxiety when playing ranked that transitioned to Valorant.
I tried many ways of combating this such as playing not for rank but for improving but the nervousness is still there. Whenever I play Unrated or Deathmatch, I usually tap heads and topfrag. But on competitive games, I whiff the whole magazine on a close enemy and botfrag hard.
How do I work on removing my ranked anxiety? Any tips? How do climb in a way that is healthy for your mental mindset and growth?
