Ranking the Valorant agents' aim as accurate to the lore

(Based on this post I saw earlier today.)

It's really important to say that this isn't comprehensive and could definitely be susceptible to errors. The benchmark for these rankings would be the Episode 4 cinematic, showing that all the agents at the very least are capable of achieving a 30/30 score on the training bots at Valorant HQ. Therefore, the B tier or 'Proficient' tier would mean these agents would be capable of achieving this.

I've also tried to justify each agent's place with a short explanation. I tried to be as concise as I can but if anyone has any more questions, concerns, or violent reactions, feel free to let me know.

The Rankings in Picture Form

#S Tier | Expert

Chamber

  • There's not much to be said about Chamber. He worked in the French Military as a PMC Marksman, before moving onto weapons design for Kingdom. He's incredibly comfortable with being armed and to paraphrase his own words, he takes aim, then fires, and doesn't complicate things.

Sova

  • Sova's moniker according to the agent dossiers is 'the man who never missed a shot'. He's a renowned hunter. He also uses a bow and arrow, an arguably more difficult weapon to aim than a gun. He also has a mechanical eye, which probably helps.

KAY/O

  • KAY/O, much like Chamber, is fairly simple to explain. He's a cybernetic specifically designed to kill Radianities, notably several members of the Valorant Protocol in an alternate timeline. His abilities revolve around depriving radiants of their powers and shutting down radianite technology, levelling the playing field to rely solely on armed combat.

#A Tier | Expert

Brimstone, Harbour, and Neon

  • Initially this might seem like a weird trio to be placed at the Expert tier. However, Brimstone, Harbour, and Neon are the only three agents (to my knowledge) to have undergone military training. Brimstone and Neon worked for Kingdom, with Neon specifically working for K/SEC, while Harbor worked for Realm, a multinational task force.

  • These three agents are expected to have a high level of discipline when handling firearms. Neon specifically has exhibited her expertise during the Shattered cinematic being able to one-tap enemies on the head with a Frenzy.

Reyna, Fade, and Cypher

  • This trio is a bit more straightforward to understand. They all have a history of criminal activity. Reyna has exhibited her aim during the Warm Up cinematic. Fade is a bounty hunter. Cypher is an intelligence operative with several of his voice lines hinting at his history as a killer.

#B Tier | Proficient

This tier is by far the most crowded. All of these agents more or less have a reason to be considered at the benchmark for their aim.

  • Raze, Killjoy, and Phoenix are both shown to have hit 30/30 kills on the scoreboard during the Warm Up cinematic.

  • Breach has a criminal history that may have led him to dangerous situations, though his expertise primarily lies in engineering and he has not so far demonstrated proficiency in a concrete manner.

  • Yoru and Jett have both demonstrated their capabilities in cinematics.

  • Skye fought against Kingdom operations in Australia.

  • Astra is shown in the Episode 6 cinematic to be facing off against five other agents from Omega Earth, alongside Harbor.

  • Sage is shown in the Episode 6 cinematic to go through training with robots akin to that of the Episode 4 cinematic.

#C Tier | Undefined

This tier is primarily just for agents that do not necessarily have much lore describing their capability for aim. It is entirely possible they match or above the benchmark set initially.

Viper

  • Viper does not have very many moments in the series where she actively uses her firearms, primarily relying on her toxins to be able to engage in combat. During the moments she is shown, she is either shorty-ed in the chest by Alpha Phoenix, almost murdered by Reyna, or recklessly firing a shotgun in the general direction of Omega Phoenix. Most of these incidents speak more to the situation or the proficiency of her opponents rather than herself.

Omen

  • We really do not see Omen doing much in most of the cinematics. In the one cinematic he was in, we do see him fighting with Sage in the training arena. Though however cool that shot was, we actually don’t see much. At the very least I would infer him to be proficient, however there just isn’t enough information to prove it.

#D Tier | Training

Gekko

  • Though we don’t know much about Gekko, he does seem like a relatively average Gen Z individual, who much like most people on Earth, aren’t exactly experts at guns. I placed him in the Training tier mainly because as a member of the Valorant Protocol it’s expected that he would undergo firearms training and it is mentioned that Beard Papi does give him lessons.

All of this information is taken from official sources and I tried to be as unbiased as possible. Though I would like to hear everyone’s thoughts.
