Roughly how often do you clean your mousepad?

This came to my mind a bit randomly and I wanted to ask the community about it, I don't clean it that often but I see some people who have a fairly scheduled way of keeping it clean.

I know looking for Stars is one thing u should keep in mind but does that work everytime? I mean just going somewhere else if u see stars. Fake sound mabey is a strategy against her too I think
