Spectre is bad because force buying is too good.

Spectre sucks rn probably because it's an anti-eco weapon in a force buy meta.

It's large spread and low damage (spectre is literally an automatic classic with silencer), means it's best suited for mowing down unarmored opponents from mid to close range. However, as the current meta is being discovered, learning the power of the Stinger and force buy, the Spectre now sees no play. The bright side is that the bulldog sees more play as an anti-force buy weapon, but now the Spectre is piling dust as the inferior weapon to the stinger in most cases. I would even argue that even if their costs were the same, I would choose stinger over the spectre since the stinger is really good at what its specialized to do (close range picks) whereas the spectre is just meh across the board.

Here's some suggestions I want to increase Spectre viability:

  1. Reduce max spread of Spectre and first bullet inaccuracy (from 0.4 = classic to 0.3 = ghost). The spread is not only unreliable to headshot anything further than 20m, the recoil gets out of hand so quickly (after like 5-6 bullets, it's spread is that of a stinger but with slower firerate) that theres no real compensation, sometimes putting me at a disadvantage waiting for the recoil to reset as I get tapped to death by pistols.
  2. Reduce movement inaccuracy since it is an SMG and not a rifle. Run and gunning on SMG's should make more sense as a tradeoff to firepower and long range precision, especially against other run and gunners, since running and gunning is most effective in closer ranges.
  3. Make damage fall off start from 30m like the classic as opposed to 20m. (The fact that classics (free) can beat the spectre (1600) in damage and accuracy in mid range combat is dumb; It's an SMG not a shotgun). You need 7 body shots or 2 headshots and 1 bodyshot against full armor to kill at that range (6 body shots against half armor and 5 bodyshots against no armor). With the addition of spread, gl with getting the kill.
  4. Give spectre ADS burst. Burstfire gives a lot of weaker guns value for longer ranges, so the spectre can use like a 3 or 4 shot burst to compete against longer ranges. Personally, I don't really care for burstfire on SMGs, I like hipfiring with them more, but the Stinger's burstfire is too good.
  5. Increase Stinger cost from 1000 to 1300. Specifically stinger is too good as 2nd round guns and its flexibility often gets too much value for the cost relative to other similar price range alternatives. You're first lost round gives you 1900 credits, so if you get a kill, you can get full armor and a stinger for a powerful forcebuy.
