Take a break, especially if you're the type that is vulnerable to toxicity

I had just come off in a bad game where I lost hard. Was ready to suck it up bc hey the skill disparity was there so no biggie. If they troll, like say use odd weapons, teabag, and delay the game, fine then. It's what they want, but then they started trash talking and I can see it because I forgot to mute all enemy chat. It just really made me worse and I said it was pretty cringe, with a swift reply calling me a crybaby.

This subreddit is littered with these posts and grievances, pretty annoying for anyone involved no doubt. For me, sometimes calling others to "get good" or "just mute them" is not the answer. Valorant is a team and social game, interactions are a crucial part of the experience so the previous two suggestions are not a one size fits all solution. It is a complex problem that has a mixture of psychological and social nuances. That is why I want to push this suggestion to at least ease some of the people here that are frustrated, like me, in low elo to take a break. Just stop playing the game or if you are going to play, bring in some people to a party or play deathmatch to sharpen your mechanics with music playing in the background with zero game volume(really depends on what suits you).

Valorant is a game I deeply love, but it is hard to appreciate it in full value when there is a 20 or 30 percent bad experience that will harm your rank or your mental state. Kind of naive to say, but please, be kind to other players. Some do not have the mental fortitude to handle more toxicity as some escape to games for ease of mind. I am one of those, and I hate that at times I become a part of this once someone gets toxic in games. I will do my part and improve myself because there is much to do.

I won't quit, will try to hype up my team and be kind to them, just really need to distance myself from the game and play less for now.
