I don't have a lot of places to geek out about this so here goes-
I stopped gaming 6 years ago due to financial reasons. I used to be a MGE in CS:GO, and that was it.
4 months ago, I finally built my first gaming PC ever with my own money. I always had my eye on Valorant because my gaming friends used to talk about it a lot. I loved the aesthetics, the lore and the abilities.
I also wanted to prove something to myself- that I can pick up any skill I want and genuinely get better at it. I wanted to show myself I am still capable of learning, discipline and growing. I got from Silver 1 placement in December 2022, and climbed all the way to Plat with 90% solo-queue games.
I am so happy. Thanks to all you amazing players and your awesome advice and recommendations here. I did it!
