I’ve been playing only deathmatches for two weeks now and I think I’ve gotten the shooting and aiming down a lot better. I’ve won a couple, I have the maps pretty much memorized, etc.
I entered my first unranked match tonight thinking I was ready to learn and it was absolutely chaotic. I played as Sage, had people suppressing me, putting trackers on me, people asking for heals that I couldn’t figure out how to put down, explosions, walls, just…everything was super overwhelming and I got discouraged because I expected to catch on very quickly.
My question is ‘what do I focus on next to take it all in’ step by step if I need a little extra time? I have a learning disability, and sometimes I feel like I need to break things down a little slower. Do I stop playing and just watch videos? Should I jump in the ring in unranked and keep trying to figure it out as I go? Play and stick to one character only until I learn them one by one? I’m not giving up; I’m very motivated and I love it, but as my first FPS I’ve ever played, it’s all so much to take in. I’m doing my best to understand it and learn it all.
