Why can a Bronze get in the same game as an Immortal?

This really bugs me, sometimes when I'm playing comp (Im gold 1), I end up facing a team with An immortal 1 and a bronze 1 with two Silvers. Sometimes I meet 2 Ascendants carrying three irons. This has happened so many times while me and my time is just Gold/silver.
It feels like we're basically just set up to fail because we can't see what rank they are before, we end up losing 5-13 and then we see that their carry who was 50 kills is immortal.
This is so annoying, we went on a long losing streak after only playing with teams like this who just crush us instantly, it's not like we want to FF either because then we lose even more RR.
It's extremely annoying, it's no fun playing when you know you might just lose instantly because you're playing against an immortal.
We go on win streaks (no carry) when we're playing with our ranks but then we get a long streak of games with ascendants/immortals/diamonds etc.
I can not be the only person who notice's this.

I think Riot should add a thing where you can play with ranks near u, (ex. if you're silver u can play with bronze and gold. But when you're playing with plats it's -25% and then you just cant queue with people above that.) I think that's fair, because it is insanely annoying when you just end up losing games only because you're playing with people several ranks above you.
