Will the ranks reset at the end of the act?

I'm actually lost with episodes and acts, I tried to google but couldn't find the info. I'm asking because the game says that the "competitive queue will end in 1 day".

If yes, is it the same every acts?

About the players quitting in competitive matches.

I think Valorant should give players additional bonus points in competitive if they won with an AFK player, and some kind of "protection" or just lessen the points lost if they lose with an AFK player on their side. And to prevent these...
