Crosshair placement and map awareness
To improve these skills I recommend to listen to music while playing deathmatch. When you listen to music, you don't hear every steps so you have to check more places. It's better than muting the game, because you can still hear some things...

Would an unlevel desk affect aim?
So my desk is really long, and in the middle where my mousepad is there is about a 1/2in sunken area compared to the sides, would this affect my aim at all, or put me at a competitive disadvantage?
