I've played this game since release and instantly fell in love with it. My wall is covered in Valorant posters and I spent my college savings on getting a better pc. I spend 4-5 hours each day in aimlab trying to improve my precision, and after school, I tune into content creators like SkillCapped to study the game. So, needless to say, I LOVE this game.
My only issue is, I've never been really good at it and my friends all make me the butt if the joke whenever we're hanging out. My self-esteem has been rock bottom and every game I only manage 3-5 kills at best (on Reyna). My teammates never rez me and It's fucking embarrassing. It's really only happened once (and by a girl!!) and it was the greatest feeling to know the team is dependent on you.
I think this joyous memory has consolidated in my mind. And I've grown an attachment to it, such that every time a Sage decides to rez another player, I habitually switch perspectives to watch the animation as if I was the one getting rezzed. It's a bit of a guilty pleasure I guess. Does anyone else do this?
