Probably 20%-40% of all accounts in this game are someone's "alternate" they use to play "don't-really-care" competitive games.

Why even have a matchmaking in ranked? Just let all the ranks play against each other. That is essentially the way it is now.

One benefit would be: appropriate credit when getting stomped by someone of much higher rank or someone of a much higher rank not pulling their weight on your team vs currently you lose much more because their alternate is often a lower rank or equivalent to you.

I'm not seriously suggesting eliminating matchmaking, just highlighting the mockery of the current state of "Competitive".

There is only the illusion of fair play with it being so utterly infested with alternate accounts. Eliminate or dramatically reduce this and many other problems will disappear with it.
