As a Skye main, one of the reasons why I was initially attracted to this agent was because of her heal, which is the most selfless heal in the game. I might be in the minority when I say this, but I love healing my team. It feels very satisfying and rewarding for me to replenish their health and I love supporting my team members in that aspect.
Currently, the combat report only shows the amount of "healing done" whenever you use a healing ability. I was thinking, surely there should be a way to provide more information about the impact of healing on a round. And that's when I had my light-bulb moment.
Damage abilities such as Killjoy's swarm grenade and KAYO's molly show "damage dealt" but also "kills" in the combat report if you happen to kill the enemy with it. Paralleling this, I think Riot should add a "lives saved" section to the combat report if your healing managed to save a team mate's life. In other words, if a team mate took enough damage that they would have died if not for the healing you gave them.
For example, if I am Sage and I heal my team mate who is on 30 HP back to 90 HP, and afterwards they get hit 50 by an enemy (meaning they are now on 40HP), my healing has saved their life because they would have died if not for my heal.
However, if I am Sage and I heal my team mate who is on 60 HP back to 100 HP and afterwards they get hit 50 by an enemy, I will not get any lives saved listed in the combat report because they would not have died even if I didn't heal them.
And here's an example with Skye. Let's say I simultaneously heal 3 teammates who are all on 50 HP with my AOE heal back to 100 HP. At the end of the round, the first teammate was hit 70 (ended on 30 HP), the second teammate was hit 55 (ended on 45HP) and the third teammate was hit 40 (ended on 60HP). On my combat report, it will show "2 lives saved" because the first and second teammate both would have died if not for my heal.
Okay, so if you're confused by that, just think about it this way: any time a teammate survives more than 150 cumulative damage inflicted upon them in a round (due to healing and not something else) is considered a life saved.
I hope that makes sense! Riot, please consider adding :)
Tl;dr A "Lives Saved" section for healing abilities in the combat report will provide more nuance and information about the impact which your healing had on the round (and extra gratification for those of us who like to heal others!)
