I am a plat3-plat2 player coming from R6 and holy moly does this game feel incredibly sweaty even in iron-bronze-silver-gold ranks. In R6 if you are anything below high gold then with decent aim and some trying you can literally fly through the ranks even if you are below level 100.
However in this game, it seems that even in bronze ranks you match up against demi gods that will punish you heavily for making small mistakes and some even have like 0.1 ms reaction times with AWP which is rare to see in any low rank in any game. I even know a diamond player from R6 that got placed silver in this game and he and me both agreed that the gun-skill cap was very low and it seems that teamwork ( esp stacking up) plays a wayyyy more important role in winning games rather than your 'fragging power'.
Why is this? Was Valorant designed to be a much more team heavy emphasis game rather than to test your shooting skills?
