VCT Americas Stage 2 Finals in São Paulo: Times, Venue Rules and Where to Watch

The VCT Americas Stage 2 Finals are a short event with a lot packed into them. Riot has moved the final three days of the regional season to São Paulo, with four teams left, a Champions Shanghai place still available, and a venue guide that is much more useful than guessing at the door.

Riot's event guide says NRG, 100 Thieves, G2 and LOUD will play at Suhai Music Hall from September 4 to 6. NRG and G2 have already qualified for Champions Shanghai, leaving the remaining Americas places to be decided through this weekend. That team and qualification context comes directly from Riot's September 1 event guide.

Put the match times in your calendar

Riot lists the Finals schedule in Pacific Time. Pacific Daylight Time is UTC-7 on these dates, so the first two series are on Friday, September 4 at 17:00 UTC and 20:00 UTC:

• NRG vs 100 Thieves, Upper Final, best of three: 10:00 AM PT / 17:00 UTC.
• G2 vs LOUD, Lower Semifinal, best of three: 1:00 PM PT / 20:00 UTC.

Saturday starts with the OVERRIDE showmatch at 17:00 UTC. Riot says Daiki and meL will captain the sides and that the audience will choose round rules. The Lower Bracket Final is a best of five, but the event guide does not publish a start time for it. Do not fill that gap with a conversion from a fan graphic. The Grand Final is set for Sunday, September 6 at 17:00 UTC, also best of five. Riot says the Champions Shanghai Group Draw follows the Grand Final, without giving a separate time. The official event guide is the source for the match format, order and announced times.

If you are watching from New Zealand, Friday's first series is 05:00 on Saturday, September 5 NZST, and the Grand Final is 05:00 on Monday, September 7 NZST. Those conversions are useful now, but the official schedule should have the final word if Riot changes a start time.

The event is at Suhai Music Hall

Riot identifies the venue as Suhai Music Hall at Avenida das Nações Unidas, 22540, in São Paulo's Jurubatuba area, inside the SP Market Shopping mall near Jurubatuba-Senac station on CPTM Line 9. The address and transit reference are in Riot's venue FAQ.

The boring details are the ones that can ruin an expensive day. Riot says re-entry is not allowed, outside food and drinks are not permitted, and every bag will be inspected. A bag must fit comfortably under your seat and cannot be larger than 38 cm × 38 cm × 25 cm. Luggage and large backpacks are out.

Pack as if you are going through an airport-style line, not as if you are setting up a filming station. Riot prohibits professional cameras with interchangeable lenses, tripods, monopods and flash equipment. It also prohibits unauthorized livestreaming. Read Riot's full prohibited-items list before travelling; it includes items such as laser pointers, drones, bottles and cans, flags with poles, and oversized banners.

Fans under 16 need an accompanying adult who is at least 18. Cosplay is welcome, but face-covering masks, full-face paint, large costumes, fake weapons and props made of rigid wood or metal are not. Riot also says a prop needs to be clearly identifiable as a prop and made of foam or lightweight plastic. That leaves plenty of room for a costume, but not much room for an argument with security.

What is happening around the matches

Riot has announced meet and greets, an Artist Alley, a Red Bull Map Bar, team booths for FURIA, LOUD and MIBR, an official store and a welcome kit for attendees. The guide names several creators and personalities for meet and greets, but says schedules and more names will be announced on Riot's social channels. Treat those names as a reason to watch for an update, not a promise that a particular person will be available when you arrive.

The guide also says attendees and people at official in-person watch parties across the Americas will receive an exclusive in-game spray. It does not describe a general online-viewer drop, so do not assume that simply opening a stream earns it. Riot's event guide is the current source for the on-site activities and spray eligibility.

Watching from home

Riot lists official VCT Americas broadcasts in English, Portuguese and Spanish. The English options are Twitch and YouTube; Riot links Portuguese and Spanish channels from the same guide. It also lists authorized on-site co-streamers, but those names and schedules can change. The clean option is to begin with the official broadcast, then check Riot's event page if you want a local-language stream or a watch-party option.
