Game Changers Americas LCQ 2026: Dates, Format and Qualification

The Game Changers Americas Last Chance Qualifier has a simple job: decide the final Americas team for the 2026 Game Changers Championship. Riot’s announcement puts the event in São Paulo across two days, with three regional Seed 2 teams competing for one place at GCC 2026.

This is a Game Changers event, not the VCT Challengers LCQ covered in our regional Play-In explainer. The names, route and qualification stakes are different. That distinction matters when a search result or social post says only “Americas LCQ.”

What the event decides

The Americas circuit is made up of Brazil, North America and Latin America. Riot says the LCQ brings together the Seed 2 team from each of those three regional circuits. The winner claims the final Americas spot at the Game Changers Championship, which starts at Riot’s São Paulo studios on October 22.

The announcement does not name the three teams yet. North America’s representative will be the team with the second-most Game Changers Championship Circuit Points that did not win Stage 2. The other representatives depend on the results and qualification rules of their regional circuits. Until those pages confirm the field, a preview should talk about seeds rather than guess at team names.

Dates and format

The LCQ is a two-day LAN event:

Stage Date Start time What happens
Round robin October 14, 2026 11:00 AM PT The three teams play the opening phase.
Final October 15, 2026 2:00 PM PT The top two teams play a best-of-five for the Championship place.

Riot says doors open one hour before the matches begin. The published times are in Pacific Time, so viewers outside North America should check the official event or broadcast page for a local conversion when the schedule is live.

The first day is where the three-team field gets reduced to two. Each team has to play the other two in the round robin, so there is no bracket opponent to avoid and no single opening match that tells the whole story. A poor first result does not eliminate a team immediately, but it leaves less room for error in the remaining match.

The second day is a different test. The top two move into one best-of-five, and the winner qualifies for GCC 2026. A round robin rewards a team that can recover and keep its map preparation broad. A best-of-five asks whether that preparation holds when the opponent can adapt across more maps. That comparison is Valorant Village analysis, not a Riot claim about which format is superior.

Where it is happening

Both match days are scheduled for a live audience at Riot Games Arena São Paulo:

Av. Thomas Edison, 849 – Barra Funda, São Paulo – SP, 01140-001, Brazil

Riot’s announcement describes the venue as the Riot Games Brazil studios in São Paulo and separately lists the Riot Games Arena São Paulo address. Check the live ticket page before travelling; venue information and access instructions can change after the initial announcement.

Ticket information

Riot says ticket sales begin on September 18, 2026, at 1:00 PM PT through eventim.com.br. The announced prices are R$120 at full price and R$60 at half price, with a limit of four tickets per event day. The half-price category follows the legislation in force in São Paulo.

That is the announcement-level information, not a guarantee that tickets will still be available. If you plan to attend, check the Eventim listing for the sale status, entry rules, age requirements and any local payment or identification conditions before buying. Keep the event date and ticket date aligned: the round robin and final are separate event days.

What viewers should track next

The useful questions will change as the regional circuits finish:

  • Which team earned Brazil’s Seed 2 place?
  • Which North American team has the required Championship Circuit Point total without winning Stage 2?
  • Which Latin American team takes the remaining Seed 2 slot?
  • Does the official schedule add a broadcast link, language options or a revised start time?

Use the VALORANT Esports schedule as the final check for match pages and broadcasts. Our guide to watching VALORANT esports legally covers the same habit: start with Riot’s event page, then follow its published watch links instead of an unattributed mirror.

Do not merge this event into the VCT Americas qualification story. That circuit has its own Challengers route, while this LCQ connects the three Americas Game Changers regions to the women’s global championship event. If the team list changes, update the names and links without changing the already announced structure unless Riot publishes a new format.
